Dave Goff

Dave Goff Agent

Born and raised in Western Washington, Dave developed a passion for the outdoors and open spaces. His love of fishing and hunting began on the Puget Sound, and North Cascades but soon led him to Montana. In 1990 he moved to MT to pursue a lifestyle of fishing and hunting in the Northern Rockies. Soon after he began tying flies commercially guiding fly fishermen—thus beginning a long career in the outdoor industry.

In 2001 Dave moved to Livingston. In 2006 Dave became one of the founders and managing partner Sweetwater Fly Shop which he managed until it was purchased in 2011. He also worked for partner’s Sweetwater Travel Company as a guide and lodge manager while serving on the board of directors for the Joe Brooks chapter of Trout Unlimited.

In addition to fly-fishing, Dave’s experience includes guiding big game hunts for elk, deer and antelope, upland bird hunts, managing fly fishing lodges and hosting trips in the US, Bahamas and Brazil. As a small business owner and catalyst in multiple start-up companies he has developed strong business acumen with respect to the fishing and hunting industries. His array of expertise includes property management, sales, marketing, lodge management, graphic design, photography, business development, project management, retail, e-commerce, construction, and interior design.

Dave’s interest in real estate began while managing rental and recreational properties aligned with Sweetwater Fly Shop. He helped property owners market seasonal home rentals to house visiting anglers and developed several recreational properties for fee access fishing and hunting opportunities. Dave hopes to share his love of the outdoors, open space, conservation and recreation with those looking to call Montana home. Whether you are looking for a sporting ranch, a new home or to sell an ag property Dave will deliver with experience, service and integrity.

Currently Dave resides on a ranch Amsterdam, MT where he is restoring a 120 year old farm house and managing the property. He spends his free time with his two son’s fly fishing, bird hunting, music and gardening.
